01 · These terms

By reserving a ticket through karanda.lk, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and everyone included in your booking.

KARANDA (Pvt) Ltd is the producer and promoter of UBU and the seller of all tickets made available through this website.

02 · Payment method

Payment is by bank transfer only. Card payments are not accepted through this website.

You must transfer the full amount due to the bank account shown during the booking process, using your booking reference where possible, and upload a copy of the payment receipt or deposit slip.

Payments from overseas may also be made through Wise to the same account.

03 · Accuracy of the details you enter

You are responsible for ensuring that all payment and contact information you enter or use is correct.

Before making a transfer, please carefully check the account name, account number, bank and branch details shown on the booking page.

KARANDA is not responsible for funds transferred to an incorrect or unintended bank account as a result of information being entered, copied or used incorrectly by you. We are unable to recover or refund money that has been transferred to an account that does not belong to KARANDA.

If you believe you have transferred funds to the wrong account, please contact your bank or payment provider immediately to see whether the transaction can be stopped, recalled or otherwise recovered.

You are also responsible for providing the correct phone number and email address when making your booking. If these details are entered incorrectly, we may be unable to send your booking confirmation or ticket information, and KARANDA will not be responsible for communications that do not reach you for this reason.

If you have not received confirmation from us within two working days after submitting your payment receipt, please contact us via WhatsApp.

04 · Reserving and verifying your booking

Uploading your payment receipt temporarily holds your selected seats for 24 hours while your payment is being verified.

Payments are verified manually by our team, normally within one to two working days. Once verified, your booking will be confirmed by email and by WhatsApp message to the contact details you provided.

If we are unable to verify your payment, we will attempt to contact you before your reservation is released.

A booking is only considered confirmed once you have received confirmation from KARANDA.

05 · Prices and early bird offers

All ticket prices are stated in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) and include all applicable taxes.

Early bird pricing applies to selected sections: a 20% discount from 24 to 30 September 2026, and a 10% discount from 1 to 8 October 2026.

Section C is priced at LKR 3,500 throughout the sales period and is not affected by the early bird discounts.

The price displayed when you submit your booking is the price that applies to that booking.

06 · One section per booking

All tickets within a single booking must be for the same seating section.

A maximum of ten tickets may be reserved in one booking.

If you would like tickets across more than one section, please complete a separate booking for each section or contact us via WhatsApp and we will assist where possible.

07 · Refunds, exchanges and transfers

Tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable, except where otherwise stated in these terms.

Once a booking has been verified and confirmed, tickets cannot be moved to another performance.

Tickets may not be resold for more than their original face value.

If you are no longer able to attend, please contact us. We may be able to assist with transferring or placing your tickets with another guest, but this is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.

08 · Seating

The performance uses a free seating system.

The auditorium is divided into three clearly marked seating sections. Your ticket confirms your place within the section you selected when booking, but it does not reserve or allocate a specific seat within that section.

Seating within each section is available on a first come, first served basis, so we recommend arriving early if you have a preferred seating position.

You must remain within the seating section stated on your ticket unless instructed otherwise by house management.

Bay 07 is an enclosed, air-conditioned warehouse venue. Sightlines may vary depending on where you are seated, and any seating illustration shown during the booking process is indicative only.

House management reserves the right to relocate audience members where reasonably necessary for safety, accessibility, operational requirements or sightlines.

09 · No latecomers and no re-entry

Doors open 30 minutes before the scheduled show time and close when the performance begins.

UBU runs for approximately 90 minutes with no interval. Due to the nature of the staging, it is not possible to admit audience members once the performance has started.

Latecomers will not be admitted, and no refund, exchange or credit will be provided if you miss the performance because you arrive after the scheduled start time.

There is also no re-entry once you leave the performance space after the show has begun.

Please plan to arrive early.

At the entrance, you will need to provide the booking reference number and the name under which the booking was made. There is no printed ticket to collect.

10 · Age guidance

UBU is an 18+ production.

The production contains strong language, adult satirical content, sustained amplified sound and bright lighting.

KARANDA and venue staff reserve the right to refuse entry where the age requirement is clearly not met. No refund will be provided where entry is refused for this reason.

11 · Photography and recording

Audience members are welcome to take photographs and short video clips for personal use and social media, provided that doing so does not disrupt the performance or other audience members.

Flash photography is strictly prohibited.

Long-form filming, continuous recording, professional recording, livestreaming and full or substantial recordings of the performance are not permitted.

KARANDA may photograph or film performances for archival, documentation and promotional purposes. Audience members may appear incidentally in this material.

If you do not wish to appear in photographs or video, please inform a member of the front-of-house team when you arrive and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request.

12 · Changes and cancellation

Casting, staging, running order and running time may change without prior notice where reasonably necessary.

If KARANDA cancels a performance, or a performance is abandoned in circumstances where KARANDA determines that a refund is due, the applicable ticket price will be refunded.

KARANDA is not responsible for travel, accommodation, transport or any other costs incurred in connection with attending the event.

Where a performance is interrupted, curtailed, postponed or abandoned due to circumstances outside KARANDA's reasonable control, including extreme weather, power failure, civil disturbance, government restrictions, emergencies or other force majeure events, any refund, transfer or alternative arrangement will be determined by KARANDA based on the circumstances.

13 · Venue conditions

Bay 07 is located within Trace Expert City, Maradana Road, Colombo 10.

Entry is subject to any reasonable venue conditions and security procedures in place at Trace Expert City, including security checks.

KARANDA is responsible for the organisation and operation of the event. Trace Expert City does not accept responsibility or liability for the production or for incidents arising from the organisation or operation of the event by KARANDA, except to the extent that liability cannot legally be excluded.

Audience members must remain within the auditorium and other areas designated or signposted for the performance and should avoid entering or disturbing areas used by companies and organisations operating elsewhere within Trace Expert City.

Please dispose of waste responsibly using the bins provided.

KARANDA and venue management reserve the right to refuse admission or remove anyone whose behaviour is disruptive, abusive, unsafe, unlawful or likely to interfere with the performance or the enjoyment or safety of others. No refund will be provided where a person is removed for these reasons.

14 · Smoking, alcohol and parking

Smoking, including the use of e-cigarettes and vaping devices, is strictly prohibited inside Bay 07.

A designated smoking area is available behind Bay 13. Please note that once the performance has begun, the no re-entry policy applies.

Alcohol, tobacco and other controlled substances are not sold by KARANDA at the venue.

KARANDA and Trace Expert City are not responsible for incidents arising from substances brought to or consumed at the venue by audience members, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

On-site parking is free but limited and is not guaranteed.

Parking spaces are allocated by venue security officers and roadside parking is not permitted. Vehicles and personal belongings left inside vehicles are left at the owner's risk.

We recommend arriving early or considering a taxi or ride-hailing service where possible.

15 · Your information

We collect and use information including your name, telephone number, email address, guest names and payment receipt for purposes connected with processing and verifying your booking, communicating with you and managing admission to the performance.

16 · Liability and governing law

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under Sri Lankan law.

Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, KARANDA's liability in connection with a booking or ticket is limited to the amount paid for the relevant ticket or tickets.

These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka.

Your contract is with KARANDA (PVT) LTD, a private limited company incorporated in Sri Lanka on 15 August 2024 under the Companies Act No. 7 of 2007. Company number: PV 00307467.
